The Nitrogen Cycle

Nitrogen starts off in the atmosphere. When it rains, the nitrogen comes out of the atmosphere and into the ground where plants bring it in. Animals consume plants that have nitrogen in them and then when they die or excrete it goes back into the ground.
Nitrogen is very hard to break down
