By Brandon Morris
2 Types
The first type, Ischemic means that along with your lack of blood flow you also suffer from the hardening of your arteries. Nonischemic means you only suffer from the heart's abnormal structure and function.
Signs and Symptoms
Cardiomyopathy can happen to anyone due to poor health and hygiene. Signs can include shortness of breathe, fatigue, dizziness, chest and or heart pain, and swelling of the ankles, feet, legs, abdomen, and or veins on the neck.
To be diagnosed you must take an X-ray, blood test, Electrocardiogram, and an Echocardiogram to ensure there is no false diagnoses of you not having a disease when you actually do, those 4 test are to make sure that doesn't happen.
Also genetic tests are ran to see if the disease has been present in your family's past.

Treatments
Treatment options vary depending on the type of the disease you have, your age, and your history of the disease. Treatments include Septal Myectomy(removal of septum preventing blood flow), Surgically implanted devices, Heart transplants, or Alcohol Septal Ablation(a very intense and difficult heart procedure under surgery).
