iReady - Time-On-Task Minutes by Grade Level
iReady Minutes for January
Hello Howard Families,
Our kids are using iReady on a daily basis. The program gives each student individualized lessons based on their level in iReady. The expectation is for ALL students to do 1 hour of Reading and 1 hour of Math every week. If you have access to a computer and the internet, you are be able to access iReady at home. Use the student symbaloo link-
https://omsdstudent.symbaloo.com/home/mix/13ePBice8A and go through CLEVER to log into iReady. This month 1st grade accumulated the most iReady minutes for Reading and 6th grade accumulated most iReady minutes for Math!! Congratulations to 1st grade and 5th grade!
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
Our behavior expectation focus in March is INTEGRITY. This is a complicated character trait, but without it, our moral compass has no way to lead us! The definition of integrity is: the quality of being honest AND having strong moral principles. The Howard Way tells us it's about "Doing the Right thing even when no one is looking." That isn't always easy. We will be exploring what it means to have integrity and live as a whole person.
Reading Counts Top Five Readers!
Please encourage your children to read every night and take Reading Counts quizzes on the books they have read. Our next reading challenge ends on March 24, 2023. Anyone that meets their goal will participate in an extra recess and could earn a free dress pass. Continue to read Howard Warriors!
