Mrs. Stasney's 3rd News

For the week of February 25th

Dr. Seuss Week!

Dr. Seuss's birthday is Saturday, March 2nd. In honor of his birthday, Bowen is celebrating all week! Mrs. Bartosh has been working tirelessly to get some Aggie athletes and other special guest readers to come to campus! She's also planned some fun theme days:

Monday: Crazy Socks Day (for the book 'Fox in Socks')

Wednesday: Hat Day (for 'The Cat in the Hat')

Friday: Wear Green (for 'Green Eggs & Ham')

We will also be doing Dr. Seuss themed writing, reading, and math activities in our classroom! :)

Biography Project

Tomorrow (Monday), we will begin researching the famous people we look up to or admire! If you have not signed the blue paper that went home on Thursday, please do so and send it to school in the morning!

The children are free to choose any famous person that they look up to or admire; however, both you and I have to approve their selections. I have discussed with the students the importance of having positive role-models and told them that I will not approve someone with a "questionable" background (such as arrests, etc).
