Congratulations to CV High School's Mock Trial teams for finding success at the Pitt Cathedral Classic Tournament at the University of Pittsburgh recently. CV's Team 1 captured first place out of 50 teams, marking the first time ever that a team from Cumberland Valley won first at this tournament.

During the tournament, two students also earned individual awards. Congratulations to Wasi Ullah, who earned a perfect score and captured the Best Lawyer Award, and to Daniel Malinich who received the Best Witness Award for his portrayal of CEO Chris Tempesto.

Eagle View Middle School is proud to present: Shrek Jr the Musical.

Everyone's favorite ogre is back in this hilarious stage spectacle, based on the Oscar-winning smash hit film and outrageous Broadway musical.

Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

As Shaull Elementary School's principal, Mr. Mike Azzalina, prepares to say goodbye to our Shaull Sharks this week, he and crew wanted to spread love and kindness throughout the school community. In the words of Mr. A: "Give love. A smile, a hold of the door, an 'It was great spending this time with you' goes a long way. Make others know they matter. They’ll always remember it."

REMINDER: The Eagle Foundation will host the 25th annual recognition dinner on Sunday, April 16th and needs your help in selecting the Commitment to Excellence recipient, the highest honor bestowed at the event. Those eligible: administrators, alumni, coaches, staff, students, teachers and volunteers having a current or past connection with the Cumberland Valley School District (CVSD).

Selection criteria: the award will be given annually to an eligible person who, through demonstrated excellence in actions or achievements, deserves recognition as a role model for the CVSD community.

Cumberland Valley School District's transportation contractors are now hiring bus and van drivers throughout the district. As a bus/van driver, you will enjoy flexible, part-time hours, provided in-house CDL training, and the ability to bring your child on the bus with you. In addition, our contractors provide a safe and fun work environment while our students provide lots of love and heart.

We are #CVproud to give a shoutout to students at Monroe Elementary School who recently stepped up to the challenge and led the building's first school-wide community meeting. These students planned their activity and led the entire group. Students displayed confidence, leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and more. They are a Portrait of an Eagle!
