Staffing Update #2

Farewell to Sue Harvey and Tanya Skinner! Sue is in our Siena Centre and is jumping the fence to start a new position at Hale, and Tanya is travelling a bit further afield to commence work in Cloverdale. We thank them both very much for their contribution to our community over many years, and wish them much success and happiness in their new positions. May God bless you both abundantly!

Welcome to Paris Graham and Lisa Jeffcote. Paris will be working in our Siena Centre and Lisa will be in charge of the life and times of Science next year. Both are lovely people and passionate about their work. Please make them welcome!

Congratulations Kaity Passmore! Kaity returns to us next year as Kaity Neil. Kaity we wish you and Luke a blessed and joy filled future together!

A BIG shout out to Boulevard Pizzeria for the amazing spread at our Year 6 Graduation celebration on Monday night. Delicious Pizza and Pasta was enjoyed by our graduating students and their parents. Boulevard Pizzeria is located in City Beach, and is definitely worth going to if you haven't been already. Thank you very much to Dion and the team.

Congratulations to our Holy Rosary Choir and to Olivia Mak who received special mentions for their performances at the Performing Arts this year.

Olivia played the piano and received an Outstanding Award for her performance.

The Holy Rosary Choir sang two pieces for their performance and received a Merit Award for their performance.

Well Done to all the students who performed at the festival this year. It was a great effort by all.

A wonderful end to 2023 for our incredible year 6 Christian Service group as we delivered your donations for the Vinnies Christmas Appeal. Thank you to our community for supporting this very worthy cause. This year, all year 2 students have participated in Aussie Optimism’s “Feelings and Friends” program, 24 year 4 students have participated in “Seasons for Growth”, all year 6 students have been a part of our Council Group program and 31 graduated SFG students have met with me for Reconnectors, with the year 6 SFG students spending time with Belle, the Newman year 12 Well-Being Captain who was brilliant at answering all their questions about high school. Holy Rosary Students are kind, compassionate and Make Jesus Real every day. They are mindful and make good choices and it has been a pleasure to work with all of them this year. With best wishes to all of our community for a beautiful Christmas and I can’t wait to see you all next year!

Thank you to all students, staff and families for your support of the HR library this year. I hope you have enjoyed the chess, Book Clubs, Book Fair, Book Week and all the fun in between as much as I have. A special thanks to my amazing Library Monitors for 2022- Jade, Amelia, Sam, Oliver, Roseleah and Vera – you have been a wonderful help and you will be missed. Some wonderful memories have been made and I wish you all a very merry Christmas and all the best for 2023.
