Climate- Typical of the Mediterranean climate summers in the south can be very hot( 104 degrees F, or 40 degrees C). the climate is temperate but various by region. Is usually cold and rainy in north.
Land- Italy, including the island Sardinia and Sicily, covers 116,348, is slightly smaller than Norway and slightly larger than the U.S state of Arizona.
Culture
Religion- Eighty percent of Italians are christians, and most are roman catholic.
Clothes- Italians take pride in their appearance and tend to dress up for occasions as common as an evening stroll. Italians avoid sloppy or worn clothing, and are often judged by their appearance. Italians are a big part of the European Fashion Industry.
Eating- Italians usually eat in the continental style, with the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right. Although Italian families traditionally eat lunch together, this custom is becoming less common, especially in large cities.
