Principal's Message

Congratulations on a very successful first few weeks! We are excited to say that the staff,

students, and families have come with smiles and are ready to learn. We are so proud of all of you and look forward to a great school year. Thank you to all the families for transitioning to our new safety procedures so our campus is safe and secure.

As we get into our routine and our teachers begin to get to know our students, they will be assessing them across a variety of subject areas. The purpose of these initial assessments is to get to know our scholars as readers, writers, scientists and mathematicians so that we can best meet their academic needs and ensure that every student that attends Ponce this year makes a full year of growth. Teachers will be beginning conferences soon. Please make every effort to meet with your child's teacher as we work together towards improving student academic performance. It truly is a team effort and we appreciate your support!

Title One Missed Meeting

We missed you at our Title I Annual Meeting. During our Title I Annual Meeting we discussed the following: Parent-School Compact, our school’s and LEA Parent and Family Engagement Plan (PFEP), Title I budget, academic expectations, assessments, Title I Parent’s Right to Know, and the Title I Program.

We look forward to meeting you at future school events. Please call 727-588-3573 if you have any questions or concerns regarding our school or our Title I Program.

News from PE

Hey Ponce Panthers! The PE department is excited to begin another school year! We are just starting our fitness testing and the scholars have done an excellent job so far. A few reminders... Make sure your scholar wears tennis shoes on their PE days. Hats can be worn during class, and water bottles may be brought to class but they must only be filled with water. We are outside everyday and shaded spots are limited. Please take the hot weather into consideration when deciding your scholar's wardrobe. Lastly, we will continue to accept Box Tops. This fundraising method has helped considerably when purchasing items for the Department... Keep them coming!
