Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said President Barack Obama had been disrespected during his recent trip to Cuba -- the first visit by a sitting president since 1928, as well as a landmark step in the evolving relationship between bitter Cold War enemies.
"Our rivals no longer respect us," trump during a major foreign policy speech on April 27, 2016. "In fact, they're just as confused as our allies, but in an even bigger problem is they don't take us seriously anymore. The truth is they don't respect us. "The Obama administration has even joined Islamist governments in sponsoring a U.N. resolution that would shred our First Amendment by threatening to make discussion of radical Islamism potentially illegal."
Ted Cruz on Monday, March 28th, 2016 in a campaign email
In an email to supporters March 28, 2016, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas criticized the Obama administration’s approach to fighting terrorism.
The email, with the subject "If I Am Elected President, America Will Have a Commander-in-Chief Committed to Defeating Radical Islamic Terrorism," reprinted a Cruz op-edcolumn published that day in the New York Daily News. Cruz wrote the op-ed after New York City Police Chief William Bratton criticized his call to monitor Muslim neighborhoods in the aftermath of the Brussels terrorist attacks.

Clinton: My vow to put a lot of coal miners 'out of business' was a 'misstatement'
Hillary Clinton said May 2 that her statement that she would put a lot of coal miners "out of business" was a "misstatement." (Washington Examiner)
Some coal country voters see Hillary Clinton as a threat, someone who would install regulations that would hurt rather than help the struggling coal industry.
But Clinton, the Democratic front runner, told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that she thinks it's necessary to move away from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy, and she wants to do what she can to help current coal mine workers make that transition.
"But the market is making this decision," she said May 4.

proles
The passage from a nation of proles reflects on today’s society because the lower class has to work hard every day for their wants and needs and its sad because there are people in the higher class such as millionaires and billionaires see that these people are struggling knowing that they have a lot of money to at least help those whom are less fortunate, if I had a lot of money I would be playing a big part of helping the less fortunate because I hate to see people struggle. Today’s world is so messed up a person will walk right past a homeless person knowing they have no food , clothes or nowhere to go not even offering a bit of help. Social media, movies, sports, and reality television all play a big part in the controlling society because for example, you see a lot of kids now a days copying what they see on television some of it is bad and some of it is good. I can relate to this because my niece and nephew they watch television all of the time but they make sure that their school work is done first but both of them have a bad habit of copying every word and action in a cartoon or movie not knowing what it means or what it pertains to. It sometimes be good because kids see what people on television are doing and it could also be a motivation. My nephew is only 7 years old and has a brain like a 70 year old mad scientists he is very smart and intelligent and it sometimes amazes me of what he can do he teaches me things that I would never even think of . Social media can really either make or break you it’s really how you let it take effect on your life. The world would be such a better place if people would lend a helping hand and help people strive for better in life. We are all human , we are all of Gods children and all of Gods children need to help one another no matter how bad a person is living or can be we all make mistakes and learn from them nobody in life is perfect not even Jesus himself is perfect he made mistakes too but he still loves us all equally.

Society has become disconnected, according to rapper/artist Prince Ea. In a video he released on Facebook and YouTube on Sept. 30, the American poet declares "Why I Refuse to Let Technology Control Me." Prince Ea continues to describe how Facebook has become the ANTI-social network because it separates and disconnects people rather than connects them. Even when people are in the same room, or same bed even, their iPhone or iPad is still the focus of their attention. Studies show that four years of our lives, on average, are spent looking down at our mobile phones. That’s 1,460 days, 35,040 hours, 2,102,400 minutes. What else could we be doing or pursuing with this time? As the old adage goes, it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert at something. Thirty-five-thousand-and-forty hours spent looking down, enthralled in ones touch screen could potentially translate into the mastery of nearly three subjects or skills. But please don’t get the overarching point misconstrued; while I believe it absolutely necessary to utilize technology, we cannot allow it to control us. Digital technology is the signature of humanity; it is our creation and therefore it is totally natural. In and of itself, there is nothing inherently wrong with it. We must, however, maintain our place as consumers and not be consumed by it. We cannot auto-correct humanity, but we can do our best to. The world really is anti-social because it’s always someone on their phone while another person tries to talk them. If the world can come together as one and make a change this world would be a much better place to live in.

A visitor to the colonies could distinguish five distinct regions by 1700. To the north, New Englanders engaged in shipbuilding, fishing, and trade with England, the West Indies, and Africa. In the middle colonies of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, farmers grew wheat, and merchants and shippers in the ports of New York City and Philadelphia loaded ships with flour to send overseas and welcomed ships filled with English manufactured goods. In the Chesapeake colonies of Maryland and Virginia, tobacco planters made their fortunes, while in the lower south of the Carolinas and Georgia, rice and indigo made colonists rich. And, in the western counties of every colony, the struggle to survive and establish communities repeated itself, as pioneers claimed the frontier land. In the process, the Native Americans, who had long been the farmers and hunters in the area, were driven farther west or were killed by land-hungry settlers.

This class has really helped me become a better person because of the teacher that teaches this class a teacher that really understands and helps her students. I have learned a lot in this class more than any other language arts class I have ever taken in high school because we don’t just read passages or write numerous papers we get together and touch basis on the problems / issues that go on in the world and lets each student speak on how they feel about the situation. Ms. Hicks is no ordinary teacher she can really put you on the right track and keep you focused. In my opinion, to make this class better in the future it should have debates between students and let them speak their mind on how they are feeling on whatever topic is being discussed. My views have changed on media literacy because in my opinion they are views that you reflect and think on when something is being brought to your attention. This class is really helpful than any other language arts class because it teaches us more about the world than just learning about things that don’t teach you about the outside world. The things I learned from this class is MS. Hicks always had us thinking instead of being a Prole. I thank Ms. Hicks and Ms. Davis for being patient with their students and showing us that you care about your students. Many teachers don’t care if their students pass or fail, Ms. Hicks pushes all of her students to try hard each and every day we walk into her classroom. It’s a blessing to know that there is people in the world who cares and takes time out of their day to help students this has really been a great semester.

We will all get cleverer with how we communicate online and realize we are not simply communicating with another computer, but a warm-blooded human. we’ll finally start to see it become a reality. We’ll start to be able to send an email only to people who clicked a particular link on Twitter. We’ll be able to send a Facebook status message only to people who visited a particular page on our website . In the next 10 years i believe that people will not be using computers anymore because technology has came a long way to were you can process information through your google glasses , apple watches, and many other new inventions. My topic of my paper was about the black lives matter movement which went viral around the world via twitter. I touched basis on this topic because people need to come together as a whole and stop the killings and racial discrimination's. If twitter didn't exist nobody would even acknowledge this movement of justice. social media plays a huge role in our world because its a place where people process information , share opinions, and thoughts. Ten years from now social media will be a even bigger role because of the new technology that is going to be made.
SMORE #3 doritos
Dorito's, in its 2016 Super Bowl Commercial, “Ultrasound,” shows that their chips are so good even a baby will force itself to be born just to get some. Doritos begins by showing a couple at a hospital getting an ultrasound check and it is showing the father eating a bag of Doritos while the mother is going into labor and the baby was following wherever the Doritos went. The mom loses her cool and tosses the bag of Doritos across the exam room, leading her pregnancy to come to an rough end as the fetus quickly escapes her womb in an attempt to snag the chips.
