The National Youth Administration

The National Youth Administration was focused on providing work and education for Americans between the ages of 16 and 25. It operated from June 26, 1935 to 1939. It was known as the Works Progress Administration.

Who will this Benefit

This benefits men and women from age 16 to 25. By the year of 1938 it served more than 320,000 high school and college youth students who were paid $6 to $45 dollars a month for work study projects at their school. Over 150,000 boys and girls from relief families were paid $10 to $25 dollars a month for part time work, which that included Job training.
