Your Weekly BGS PTO News & Happenings

Thank You to Our 4th Grade Parents!

Our 4th Grade Summer Carnival Team has been planning for weeks to ensure a perfect send-off for our 4th Grade Bears. Today's the day, the weather looks beautiful, and we know the kids are all excited. Thanks (in advance) to all of today's volunteers - whether you're running a station, handing out yearbooks, or anything in between, it definitely couldn't happen without you!

Special thanks to the planning team - Rose Fischer, Lauren Ravi, Jenniffer Runyon, Kim Yacykewych, Filomena Graham, & Jean Frick. Thanks also go to Jenniffer Runyon for taking nearly 700 pictures during the school year that she and Kelly Schmidt used for this year's 4th Grade Yearbook.

Do you have an upcoming 4th grader next year? If you'd like to help out with either 4th Grade Fun Day or the 4th Grade Yearbook next year, contact Kelly Schmidt at bgsptopresident@gmail.com.

Kindness Rocks! It's Kind to Donate!

We would like to thank the Mulch Supply of Hillsborough for donating rocks to our students for the Fourth Grade Summer Carnival! The students will create kindness rocks as part of the event to give away and some to be donated to Bradley Gardens Primary. Please consider MulchSupply.com when doing your home projects this year! You can reach them at:

4th Grade Parents - Clap Our Bears Off to New Adventures!

Our 4th graders will receive one final send-off from BGS on Thursday, June 20. Fourth grade parents are invited to join us for the Clap Off at 12:45 - please arrive a few minutes early to grab a spot to cheer from. Our graduating Bears will march through the halls while BGS students, teachers, and families will give them a rousing round of applause to "clap them out" of their final day at BGS. Let's cheer them on as they transition from a BGS Bear to an Eisenhower Eagle or a Hillside Hawk!

Faculty Room Makeover - Painters Needed

Renovation work for our Faculty Room Makeover project begins right after school ends. We'll have a small window of time to get it painted after the demolition and before the new cabinets are installed. We're putting together a volunteer painting crew on Thursday, June 27 to get some new paint up on the walls. If you can help with painting, sign up for a shift here: https://tinyurl.com/lounge-painting

Get Check Requests & Deposits in NOW!

If you've run a PTO event and have checks to deposit or require reimbursement, all forms must be submitted by Tuesday, June 18 to ensure we close the books for the school year.

You can find check request and deposit forms here. Deposits must be exchanged in person with Rachel Bohach - to arrange a drop off time, contact her at bgsdeposits@gmail.com and check requests can be submitted to Angel Santicerma at bgsptotreasurer@gmail.com.

Amazon Smile - Support BGS Year-Round

Doing some shopping on Amazon this summer? How about when you buy school supplies?

Why not earn money for the school while you're at it? Just go to http://smile.amazon.com and register to support the BGS PTO (we're listed as Bradley Gardens PTO). It's still the great Amazon services and prices AND Amazon donates a portion of the purchase back to our school! Orders must be placed via the smile.amazon.com link rather than the regular Amazon link to earn credit for the school.

Don't Forget to Recycle Your Markers

It's been a long school year and you probably have some dried out markers laying around. Don't just toss them out - send in your old markers and drop them off in our Crayola Color Cycle box on the way to the cafeteria. Our PTO will pack them up and send them off to have the plastic marker tubes recycled. It's a win-win - you clean the house out and we skip help the planet!

Keep Collecting Those Box Tops

Did you know we collect Box Tops YEAR-ROUND? While we do run a contest during the winter, we also accept Box Tops in the yellow mailbox in the gym hallway all the time. Each one of those little labels earns us $0.10 for the school and they add up. This year, we've earned close to $900 just with Box Tops alone! That's a good chunk that we can put toward teacher grants, class trips and assemblies.

So stick a baggie on your fridge and remember to clip your Box Tops. We'll happily take them off your hands in September!
