PLEASE READ - Curbside Locker Clean Out and Materials Swap
Dear Carleton Families,
The plan for picking up students' belongings along with returning school issued materials has been scheduled. Please see below for dates, times, and details. Here is a short list of materials you might have in your home that should be brought on the assigned date/time.
-Social Studies Books
-Media Center (Library) Books
-Teacher issued books, calculators, other learning materials that were borrowed
-Sports equipment, uniforms (Girls' Basketball)
-Band equipment, uniforms (See note below from Ms. Lantto)
The items in your son/daughter's locker will be placed in a brown paper bag with their last name, first name, grade, and locker number on it. We will return it at the end of the materials swap process. If you're not sure if your child's locker is cleaned out, you can always stop by at your assigned time. Chances are, you have something that should be returned from the above list. Please note, this will be done without you having to leave your vehicle.
If you have an 8th Grader, our Booster's have a small surprise for each student in place of their 8th Grade Farewell that was scheduled for June.
Also, if you pre-ordered a Yearbook, those will be distributed. If you'd like to purchase one on site, please see information below regarding the details.
Please note, this will be your ONE chance to return items back to Carleton and retrieve your items from school, so please make every effort to attend. If you cannot attend the scheduled time, please choose another time that works. There is one evening time available. Lastly, in the event of inclement weather, we may have to reschedule. More information will be communicated through a Robo Call from Mr. Kausch.

You may be asking how this curbside pickup of student materials is permissible when considering the current Executive Order from the Governor. As you know, we are in Phase 3, and staying in your car and receiving a "curbside delivery" is similar to what retail stores and restaurants are permitted to do at this time. Also, having scheduled times will limit the number of vehicles in our parking lot at one time. In addition, part of our Continuity of Learning Plan requires us to account for how we will reopen school. Inventory of instructional materials and summer cleaning are major components to being prepared to reopen school. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Kausch at ekausch@wcskids.net
Beautiful day for food distribution
Band Families - Please Read
Instrument & Uniform Drop off will take place at door 17 (back of the school) on all three days of Curbside Pickup and Materials Swap.
-All instrument cases should be cleaned out (keep your personal items, reeds etc.)
-If a mouthpiece was checked out with the instrument, it must be returned (please clean before returning)
-All neck straps/accessories that belong to the school need to be returned with the instrument.
-All uniforms must be turned in for dry-cleaning. Please check all pockets for any personal items. Medals should be removed and kept by the students.
All 8th grade students that are in possession of a school owned instrument must drop their instrument off.
If 8th grade students need an instrument for the summer, they should email their high school band director to arrange instrument pick up.
Mr. Rose, Cousino HS - rosej@wcskids.net
Mr. Imbrunone, Sterling Heights HS - aimbrunone@wcskids.net
Any 6th or 7th grade student that is not continuing in band, or does not wish to check out an instrument for the summer must return their instrument.
Any 6th or 7th grade student that is continuing in band and would like to rent their instrument for the summer needs to email Mrs. Lantto clantto@wcskids.net to re-check out that instrument.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Lantto clantto@wcskids.net
