Cultures Around the World Projects are FANTASTIC
I was very pleased with the few presentations we had this morning. I love that I can tell our students have practiced what they will say to the classmates :) We will do a few each day until we have presented all projects. I can't wait to see all of the presentations!
Enjoy a few photos from our presenters today!

Reading/Language Arts:
This week we will be reading a story called Horace and Morris but Mostly Delores. We will be focusing on Main Idea, Details, and Summarizing. We will also spend a good amount of time distinguishing between the MAIN IDEA and the THEME of a story. We will continue to practice pronouns (singular, plural, and possessive).
Ms. P's Math Class:
On Monday students will take their Chapter 11 Assessment on Money! On Tuesday we will begin Chapter 14: Time. We will be reading and telling time and solving problems that require the knowledge of time. Have your students practice telling time and reading clocks over the Spring Break vacation... students who keep a journal or log that shows the time they did different activities during their vacation will receive SIGNATURES! :)
Ms. Minor's Math Class:
Ms. Minor's Class will be testing over fractions on Wednesday, March 30th. Please encourage your child to continue studying their multiplication facts over the weekend to ensure they can reduce, add, subtract, and compare fractions with ease on the assessment. Study Island is always a great resource with many practice problems! We will begin a new unit on time and temperature before the spring break!
Science:
This week we are continuing our study of the Solar System. We began learning about the Sun this past week. Your students loved it. This week we will discuss the Moon and the many moon phases. Your students will be so excited for the fun lab activity we have planned! :)
Social Studies:
We are finishing up our Cultures and Traditions chapter in our My World curriculum. We will work on our study guide and reviewing together as a group for the majority of the week. Students will bring home their study guide on Wednesday night. We will test on Thursday, March 31st!
