Weekly Wrap Up & Announcements

Our Franklin Feast was incredible! Thank you so much to all that donated their time, talents, and resources to make this event a success for our school. I know the students made memories that will last for years to come.

There is no school next week (November 20th-24th) in observance of Thanksgiving. School resumes November 27th.

As we move into a season of thankfulness, I would like to express my gratitude for all of our Franklin Families. We have overcome several challenges this year and continue to make changes and improvements that will enhance your students' academic experiences here at FA-PBG. We have felt supported by parents throughout the journey this year. Many families have taken the time to tell me personally how happy their students are and that they are seeing great changes within the school, so thank you. We are truly thankful for each of you.

During Thanksgiving Break...

Five days is a long break from learning! Please help students continue their progress by having them complete a minimum of 45 minutes of iReady for both reading and math. Classes with 100% of students completing their 45 minutes of reading and 45 minutes of math over break will receive a special reward from Ms. Ellis and Ms. Muzzillo after break.

After Thanksgiving Break...

We are racing through the Fall semester. After break, please note the following:

-Interim reports for the 2nd quarter will be sent home November 29th. We will be sending these reports home electronically this quarter, so please be sure you have set up your PowerSchool portal.

-The fundraiser will begin November 27th and run through December 15th. Please be on the look out for more info. after the break.

-An Honor Roll Ice Cream social will be held November 28th during the students' lunches. Students who achieved Honor Roll in the first quarter will receive a special bracelet on Monday the 27th and will be permitted to dress down in honor of their achievement on the 28th.

-Elementary district diagnostics begin November 28th. These assessments will be administered to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in the areas of ELA and Math. 5th grade only will take a science assessment. Please see our online calendar for exact testing dates. These assessments will provide a predicted FSA level, so it is vital your student participates to the best of their ability. This data will be used for instructional planning in the Spring semester.
