Principal Notes
Dear Cimarron Middle School Families,
We are looking forward to the 2020-21 school year, and we would like to extend a warm welcome to Cimarron Middle School! While a lot of details remain up in the air, one thing we are sure about is the upcoming school year will be full of incredible learning opportunities, ways to make connections in our community and fun!
This edition of Colts Chronicle will outline tentative plans for Fall 2020. Please know that we are working hard to communicate accurate information, but things may need to change depending on decisions made at a district, state and federal level. Please be patient with us as we navigate any changes, and know that we will do our best to communicate with all of our community members!

Great Strides and Colts Corral Update
As we continue to monitor the uncertainty of the public health pandemic of COVID-19, Cimarron Middle School has decided it is in the best health interest of our students, staff, and community to CANCEL the Great Strides Summer Program and POSTPONE the Colts Corral Summer Program. We did not make this decision lightly and have consulted with many individuals.
Great Strides - For all who have enrolled, refunds will be issued at the end of June.
Colts Corral - Sessions have been rescheduled to the week of August 3rd. The cost will remain the same which includes a t-shirt. We have adjusted the times and dates of the program.
See the new date below based on the Session you originally signed up for:
If you signed up for Session 1 - attend Monday, August 3rd 2:30-6:45 pm
If you signed up for Session 2 - attend Tuesday, August 4th 2:30-6:45 pm
If you signed up for Session 3 - attend Wednesday, August 5th 2:30-6:45 pm
Colts Corral will be cancelled if guidance from Tri-County Health Department and Douglas County School District determine our school can not meet the updated guidelines for student safety. In the event of a cancellation, $40 refunds will be issued and the t-shirts will be distributed when school resumes.
If you would like to enroll, Colts Corral registration is open in MySchoolBuck through this link only.
If you previously registered for Colts Corral and would prefer a refund, please contact Summer School Coordinator, Jill Bull jkbull@dcsdk12.org
