Reflecting on Great Opportunities at Our Great School
Before we head into the spring break, I’d like to quickly reflect on what we achieved in Term 3 as a school community. For a school of our size, we punch well above our weight and again we have packed Term 3 with a wealth of experiences and opportunities for our children! We had….. K-2 & 3-6 Athletics Carnivals, Showcase, Year 6 Cook Off, Yarn Up, Stage 3 Visit to South Sydney HS, ICAS Tests, South Sydney HS 5x5 Program, School Open Night, Crazy Hair Day, Mind Marathon, Zone Athletics, Book Week, Twugia, Father’s Day Stall & BBQ, Films By the Sea, Spelling Bee, Dance Fever, Education Week, Inter-School Debating, Big Band Bash and we still have the much anticipated Teacher vs Student Netball Championship!
The list above is a snapshot of just one term at Banksmeadow Public School and a reflection of the broad range of opportunities and holistic education we offer our children at this wonderful school. I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our dedicated staff and students and thank everyone for the mammoth effort that they put in over the term to pull off another outstanding term at BPS! I’d also like to thank all our wonderful parents for your dedication and the support you give with all our activities. I want you all to know that your tireless efforts don’t go unnoticed and I am extremely proud to say I work with our talented Banksmeadow PS community!
Happy Holidays
As this is the last newsletter for the Term, I’d like to wish you all a very safe and enjoyable holiday. We’ve had yet another very busy term and I know this spring break is well deserved by all. Just a reminder that students are due to return to school on Tuesday 6th October to commence Term 4. See you next term!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Stage 3 Camp
As we prepare for camp next term, we ask that parents and carers please ensure they have completed the required forms regarding medical, consent, dietary and medication. These are now completed online and are now overdue. Please click on the link below if you have not completed these forms. If you are having any problems completing these forms, your child missed any information regarding camp or you just wish to discuss anything camp related please come and see Mr Murphy.
The students have voted and the intended activities while on camp include archery, kayaking, giant swing, rock climbing, high ropes course, BMX riding, a variety of sports and so much more.
I'm sure everybody is looking forward to it as much as I am!
