History
The talking drum originates from Western Africa. The tone mimics human speech. Other names for the talking drum includes Dondo, Odondo, Kalangu, and Doodo. It's traditionally shaped like an hourglass. In Africa, music is often used as entertainment. It also helps with rituals and ceremonies. Compared to nowadays, music is used in a similar manner. Although people don't literally use guitars to speak a language, they may use a song or music to convey a central message.
