THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS ITS PACK
October 7, 2022
Wasco Families,
Thank you families for participating in our Conferences. Wasco School had very high attendance, some classes 100% of the parents, which ensures a strong home to school connection. All of us, teachers, parents, and students are uniting for a common purpose- the power of learning! As part of that process, we are educating children about the POWER OF YET, which is this month’s SEL theme. At conferences, and during the school year, you will be learning about your child’s goals in school. We all want students stretching to reach new achievements in math, reading, and writing. In order to build the self efficacy in children, it is important that all of us reinforce the power of making mistakes, working hard, and striving for new understandings and building their competencies. Some of our tools are pictured below, and if you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher or the office. We are here to make sure each student knows what we mean when we say: Be Safe, Be Kind, Work Hard, and Do the Right Thing.
Kind Regards,
Principal Brennan

This age-appropriate instruction will help students recognize unsafe situations, keep themselves safe, and learn how to respond to unsafe situations. Big Hearts of Fox Valley
As part of the District’s partnership with the nonprofit Big Hearts of Fox Valley and our school’s Parent Teacher Organizations, we have arranged for each of your schools to get involved with supporting our students in need this holiday season.
In the coming days, our operations team will deliver a donation box to each school for BHFV’s Holiday Toy Drive. We are asking you to keep this box on display from October 10 - November 7. Students, staff and families may donate items ranging from grocery store gift cards and toiletries to new board games and holiday wrapping paper. You also have the option to have students decorate these boxes as part of BHFV’s Deck the Box campaign. Our District PTO members have also been informed of this opportunity to lend their support.
Big Hearts Fox Valley is dedicated to supporting children affected by financial hardship around the December holidays and throughout the year. To learn more about BHFV and its donation campaign, visit www.bigheartsfv.org or contact Nicole Fraser at nicole@bigheartsfv.org.
Thank you for your commitment to our students and through partnerships such as these to brighten the lives of children each day.
