FAC Weekly Update
May 27, 2022
Good afternoon, Fine Arts Center Family
We have arrived - the 2021-22 School Year at the Fine Arts Center is now complete! It has been a bittersweet week, as we simultaneously celebrated the achievements of our students while also bidding them goodbye. Our seniors will head off to bigger and better things, while our underclassmen will enjoy their summer before rejoining their FAC family. No matter where you are going, we thank you for a wonderful year and wish you a restful summer. Remember to keep going...keep dancing, singing, drawing, practicing, creating. Never let it go stale, and stay inspired!
This Week's Student Leadership Lesson
Essentials of Opportunity
1. Motivation and opportunity are connected to one another. Motivated people often find opportunities; opportunities often find motivated people.
2. Right attitudes precede right opportunities.
3. Today is the best day for an opportunity.
“One today is worth two tomorrows.” –Ben Franklin
"This time, like all times, is a very good one, if we only know what to do with it." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
4. Opportunities are a result of pluck, not luck.
“The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them.” -George Bernard Shaw
5. Opportunities are not seized in the ideal situations.
6. Opportunity without commitment will be lost.
7. Opportunity is birthed out of problems. If you are looking for a big opportunity, seek out a big problem.
8. Opportunities can multiply or disappear. No opportunity is ever lost; if you fumble it, your competition will find it.
