Inspirational Quote
"God never gives someone a gift they are not capable of receiving. If he gives us the gift of Christmas, it is because we all have the ability to understand and receive it."
~Pope Francis, (b. 12/17/36) in Flores, Buenos Aires, Argentina, is the 266th and current Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, a title he holds ex officio as Bishop of Rome, and sovereign of Vatican City. He chose Francis as his papal name in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi.

Student Council News
Dear Parents/Guardians of Saint Paul Students,
Student council members have met and made plans for next week, of December 12th-16th and made plans for students to get into the Christmas spirit! The events for each day are as follows:
Monday: Christmas sock day- Students may wear Christmas socks with regular uniforms and the socks may be visible on students (rolled up pant legs are acceptable).
Tuesday: Teacher Appreciation day- Students must wear regular uniforms and may bring in gifts for their homeroom teacher to show their appreciation for all the hard work that they do. There is no obligation to bring a gift.
Wednesday: Pajama and movie day- Students may come to school in their pajamas and at intervals throughout the day will go to the gym watch a movie with their class. Students must wear tennis shoes.
Thursday: Ugly sweater day- Students may wear an ugly sweater with school pants or skirt There will also be a contest to choose the ugliest sweater!
Friday: Christmas shirt and Christmas party day- Students may wear any appropriate Christmas shirt with school pants or skirt. Each class will have a Christmas party starting at 1:00 PM.
If students do not want to participate in any of these activities, they must wear regular uniform.
Also, throughout the week the school will be having a Change War! Each class will have 2 buckets outside their classroom. One bucket will be for silver change and the other will hold pennies. Silver will help your class add up to collect the most money, but pennies will deduct from your class total. Classes may add pennies to other class buckets in order to decrease their totals. Totals will be announced over the intercom on Friday, and the class with the highest total will earn either a donut, ice cream, or pizza party. All money brought in will go to United Cerebral Palsy Foundation to help children with cerebral palsy. We chose this foundation in honor of Olivia Breanne Wathen, a special needs sister of 8th grader Abigail Toebbe, who passed away in October.
“Believe in the magic of the season!”
