🟪〰️🟡 Hero Hustle Glow Run Fundraiser 🟡〰️🟪

🎉🏃♀️🏃♂️Our annual big fundraiser, The Hero Hustle, will launch October 20!
Now more than ever, we need to continue to raise vital funds to support essential programming in our schools for our students! At the conclusion of our campaign our students get to celebrate by running in a totally awesome, gnarly glow run during their PE time.
❤️Your support is vital to our success! We need community support in the form of sponsorships and in kind donations.

❤️We also need volunteers to help in November when we do our run dates with our students
🚨📣Forgot to order SPIRIT WEAR⁉️
We still have a few select sizes left! So shop now before it’s too late!
Orders will be safely sorted by volunteers in masks and gloves.

💬📌 Helpful Tips 📌 💬

At Heritage each teacher has a "calm down corner" in their classroom. Here at school, we have named it our "Constructive Zone" because Mrs. Bugg wants our Heritage Heroes to know they have the tools to regulate themselves.
Parents may want to help their children make a "calm down" corner for home when emotions and stress are building up.
Each person will probably want to use different things in their corners. Try new strategies to see if they work because all strategies will not work in all situations. Let your children tell you what they have found works for them. We have been studying and implementing these strategies for 2-3 years at Heritage. You may want to check out some sites such as Momentsaday.com or Thecounselingteacher.com to get some more ideas about DIY "calm down" corners.

Edmond Public Schools Launches Mobile App to Keep Community Informed and Involved!
Edmond Public Schools has launched an official mobile app designed to enable parents, staff, and students to stay informed and up-to-date on important issues, information, and activities underway within the school community. The free app is available for download in the Apple and Android app stores by searching for Edmond Public Schools.
The app features push notifications so that users may be notified about important events, announcements, and news in real-time such as bus delays. Users have the ability to choose which of the district’s schools they would like to follow, making their app experience personal and school-specific.
Key features include:
· Push messaging from both the district and school sites
· News
· Google Calendars
· Online grade book and attendance
· Lunch Menus
· Athletic Information
· Language Translations
The mobile app replaces the district's previous app, SchoolWay, which abruptly ceased operations last summer. The app was developed in cooperation with Intrado, provider of School Messenger solutions.
