- Every student will need working headphones. The STAAR assessment is electronic this year. Your child will need headphones that are compfortable because they will be wearing them for four hours for three different days (math, reading, and science). It is very important that your child can hear directions loudly enough, so please check them in advance.
- Student Computers need to be FULLY CHARGED! More and more students are coming to school with computers dieing within the first few hours of school. This tool is very important for instruction and it is vital that they are recharged every evening. Please ensure that your child is keeping up with their responsibility.
As we continue to prepare for our next round of Interim Assessments next month, please use this link to practice with your child at home.

The district has a google site with videos that show how to use the online tools. These were introduced to students before they took IA#1, but can be accessed here for review.
OPEN HOUSE
Dove families,
You are invited to Dove Open House on Friday, March 3 from 5:00-6:00pm. Open House is a come-and-go event, and students will walk their families around the building to share what they've been learning and working on! In the classrooms, students will share their learning with their families.
All parents that plan to attend Open House and would like to skip the line at the kiosk, please RSVP by completing THIS FORM (one form for each visitor) by WEDNESDAY, March 1, so that we can create a Fast Pass for you! Please remember your ID!
At 6:00, Open House will end, and our Family Movie Night on the blacktop begins! This is a family event; parents, please stay to monitor your students!

** Students in Mrs. Cotter's Class need to have their monthly genre: biographies completely read by Feb. 28th. We will write our speeches in class. Students may work on their puppets at home. Some materials are provided. Presentations will be held on Thursday, March 9th and Friday, March 10th. Parents are invited to attend. (12:10 - 12:40 on both days in the library.)
