KPRD Summer Camp Newsletter: Week 3

Blast from the Past! - Castle McCulloch

Castle McCulloch

Friday, July 11th, 9am-2pm

3925 Kivett Dr

Jamestown, NC

Experience North Carolina's fascinating gold history through a tour of the remarkable McCulloch Gold Mill, one of the national historic sites set in a lush hardwood forest. Campers will be able to see the castle, and even mine their own gems. All campers will need to bring in a packed bag lunch/snack, and wear their camp T shirts. We will be leaving camp by 9:15 am, so please have your camper checked in before then. Arrival back to camp is expected to be 2:00 pm. If you child wants to buy anything in the souvenir shop, their money should be sent with them to camp in their red KPRD pouches. This helps them keep up with their funds, and is also a great source of identification.

Play 60 Panthers Training Camp

Play 60 is a FREE, non-contact grass roots sports program designed to encourage children to become more physically fit. Each camp consists of eight stations that challenge youngsters to run, throw and catch footballs while improving their coordination skills. Each camp is led by a counselor who will work with the children to stress the importance of a healthy lifestyle, character development and education.
