Tips, Tricks, & Hidden Gems

The OAKS Magnifying Glass Oddity

Today's Tech Tip was inspired by Dr. Chris Mothorpe.

Have you ever been in the OAKS Dropbox or Quiz tool and wanted to filter by submission or attempt status? You choose the option you want from the drop down menu and wait for the list of students to change... But nothing happens... Here's the solution:

How To Filter:

  1. Select the filtering option you want from the dropdown menu (in Quizzes or Dropbox).

  2. Look above for the "Search For" box. Click the magnifying glass icon next to the empty search box. This action is what triggers the filter.

Yep, it's completely illogical, but that's what we have to do.

Introducing the TLT Grant

The TLT Grant provides funding for projects dedicated to the scholarship of teaching and learning. We seek proposals that will explore new approaches to promote student engagement, facilitate instruction, and achieve learning outcomes.

Funding can be used to pay for materials needed to complete pedagogical projects, such as webinar fees, books, speaker fees, software, and hardware.
