Learning Spotlight!

  • Reading - We will be starting our study of poetry! This week we will be learning about figurative language and recognizing it in poetry to pop songs!
  • Science - Students will collect and analyze data to identify sequences and predict patterns of change in shadows, tides, seasons, and the observable appearance of the Moon over time.
  • Math - Data Analysis
  • LA/Writing - We will be switching back to expository writing. We will also be studying homophones.
  • Social Studies - We will be studying the rise to the Texas Revolution.

Be Proactive

We are all in charge of our actions and ourselves. Ask your student how they are being proactive at school and at home!

  • January 26th: Tiger U Day! Wear your college shirt!
  • January 27th: Cici's Pizza Night
  • February 2nd: DFW Leader in Me Symposium - We will be running a modified schedule and all students will be eating lunch in their classrooms, so we will not be able to accept parent visitors for lunch.
  • February 4th: 100 Day of School
  • February 5th: National Wear Red Day
