Spring Into Action Projects! DUE: 4/22
We cant wait to see students and families work together and get creative to help make the Earth a cleaner & greener place! For this project students are asked to come up with a plan to have a positive impact on the Earth. They can design a project for a family garden, organize a park clean up, and more! Students will document their project using photos, writing, and video if they want to go digital! We will share our Spring Into Action Projects on Earth Day!
Planting a school garden! 4-21 @ 1:15
Each year our class plants a beautiful garden for our school! Parents and other family members are invited to join us to help with the process! It is always an exciting day to get our hands dirty and do something great for our planet! We will be using the soil from our compost that we designed in the Fall! The soil is sure to be rich and filled with nutrients for our new plants. Please come dressed appropriately to get dirty! Students will be on their knees planting. See the flyer for a list of items we need in order for everyone to have seeds and plants to plant!
Go Green Earth Day Extravaganza! 4/22
At the end of the day on Earth Day we will enjoy healthy "green" treats that are good for us! We will also exercise with a Go Green Dace Party! It's going to be so exciting! We are asking everyone to wear GREEN on Earth day. We also keep the lights off and use the natural sun light to help conserve energy on Earth Day! Students will also share their projects!
Ready, Set, BLOG!!!
We have previously mentioned our Reading Responses Going Digital! We are so excited to be in the first phase of student blogging. Using our classroom blog students are able to comment and share their ideas. We are starting with this platform to teach Digital Literacy of blogging. Once we master the art of commenting students will have individual blog accounts that they can design and post responses to books, design book reviews, share how to genius hour projects, and so much more!
