ZTEP Mid Year Conferences
Team,
I hope you enjoyed your first week back. As promised we are emailing you with details about the Mid-year conferences we have coming up in the next few weeks. Please go to following link to sign up for a time from January 15th to February 6th to meet. We tried to include as many times as we could to accommodate you busy schedules. The meeting should take no more than 30 minutes and will be with both your primary and secondary evaluator. http://doodle.com/3di4hft7crhdadm4. Simply fill in your name a select a date and time that works for you (you need to keep scrolling right to see all the dates and times). Please sign up by the end of the day next Wednesday, January 14th.
There will be 4 areas of focus for our meeting.
1) To go over any questions regarding the feedback about your performance to date this school year
2) To discuss your students’ progress on SLO goals
3) To discuss your assessments practices and review sample summative assessments that you will provide
4) To discuss the Canvas audit
To help keep the meeting at a manageable time, please do the following prior to our meeting:
• In SFS, please create a new artifact. Please entitle the artifact “Mid-Year Conference.”
• Copy and paste the highlighted text below into the “Description” box on the left hand side of the artifact page , and address each of the items:
1. Questions/concerns regarding SLOs:
2. Questions/concerns regarding the Teacher Effectiveness Rubric:
3. Additional information regarding Domains 1 (Purposeful Planning) and 3 (Teacher Leadership):
4. What are your current practices with formative assessment?
Additional items we will discuss:
--Summative assessments/rubrics (to be attached)
--Any questions pertaining to last year's finalized evaluation
• In the artifact, also attach 2 summative assessments that you have created (or have done so as part of a team, if that is your typical practice) and used this year that you feel are representative of your assessment practices. Please attach also any rubrics associated with those assessments.
Thank you so much for your preparation for this meeting. I know that your “to do list” is already long enough but this legwork will allow us to create fruitful conversations as we enter the second semester of the year.
Thanks,
Dan and Chad
