MAP Assessment Results

Student Scores

We will continue the use of Skyward to communicate your child’s scores on MAP. This will allow families to receive their student’s results more quickly. Scores will be visible on January 27th via Skyward. You will receive an email from district office stating they are ready to view. Should a paper copy of the report be preferential, please contact the office and we will print a report for you.

Good luck to Katerina Reed and Blake Westberg

Katerina and Blake will be representing Prospect this week at the District 181 spelling bee. Best of luck to both of them!

Thank you for all of the Birthday Wishes

Last Thursday was truly a special day for me at Prospect. It was my 50th birthday and I was definitely treated like a queen. The staff, students, and parents spoiled me throughout the day. The entire building sang happy birthday to me, every student wrote me a letter of advice, student made birthday cards were brought down to me all day, there were so many yummy treats, and presents of all of my favorite things were given to me. The day was so special it made turning 50 a lot easier.

Thank you so much!

Pre-Planned Absences- Student Handbook

Student Handbook:

The school calendar has been established a year in advance and is available on the District website: www.d181.org. While we realize the value of family time, we strongly discourage the planning of vacations during regular student attendance days.

Elementary School Information Related to Planned Absences:

In the event of a planned absence, a parent must communicate directly with the school at least two days prior indicating their intentions. A parent/guardian may email, complete this form, or call the Office with the following information:

  1. Name of student

  2. reason for the absence, and

  3. date(s) the student will be absent

If a planned absence consists of three (3) or more days, assignments and completion dates will be given after the absence as determined by the teacher. Teachers will not be required to re-teach material missed by students.

Reporting an absence

All absentee reporting should be completed electronically and may be completed ahead of time. If your student is unwell in any way or if your student tests positive, please complete the illness-related absence link. If they are absent because of an appointment, travel, sports, or vacation please complete the non-illness absence link.
