Secondary Lead Leader
Serving Students by Supporting Teachers
I am currently one of six Lead Learners in the Hampton-Dumont School District.
One of our main objectives is to help students by supporting and encouraging teachers. As Lead Learners we are working to provide a safe and productive learning environment for all our students as they enter our district buildings each day. I will work to be a positive role model and act as a supportive sounding board for new ideas and teaching strategies. I will also spend time assisting with technology needs, collecting and analyzing student data, and collaborating with staff.

A Little About Me...
I started my college education at NIACC where I received my AA in 1994 and then went on to the University of Northern Iowa where I received my BA in Mathematics in 1996. In the fall of '96 I started teaching math and science here at Hampton-Dumont High School. In the summer of 2015 I completed my Masters of Arts in Education at Viterbo University. (This is proof that we all keep growing and learning!) I am currently teaching Geometry, Integrated Math and Second Chance Math. I have been fortunate to teach a broad spectrum of students and have had the honor of co-teaching with several wonderful educators. I truly believe that teachers are a special group of people designed to touch the live of the people we encounter each day. This is a job that we must take seriously and keep our eyes open to the great things we get to experience each day.
