Reminders and Updates from Dr. Bonneau
Evolv Door System: This was our first week with the Evolv system. We expected a few delays the first two days and had a few, but overall, it went very smoothly! Starting Monday: The back cafeteria doors will close at 7:25. Anyone arriving after that will have to enter through the front of the building. We have to have teachers to work the door systems, and the teacher have to go start their classes in the morning.
Tardy passes will be required for all students who are late to class beginning Monday. After watching this morning, the students who entered the building late, would have been late without the Evolv system. They need to plan to get here a few minute earlier. We open the building at 6:45, dismiss students from the cafeteria at 7:15, ring a warning bell at 7:23, and the tardy bell is at 7:25.
As a reminder, here are the entry door times:
Morning entry: 6:45-7:25 AM - Main front entrance or back of cafeteria (bus loop) entrance
Senior Late Arrival/Morning Athletes: 8:35-9:00 - Back of cafeteria (bus loop) entrance
Ben Barber AM: 10:15-10:35 - Back of cafeteria (bus loop) entrance
Ben Barber PM: 2:45-2:55 - Back of cafeteria (bus loop) entrance
The front entrance (main entrance) will be open with the machine staffed all day for visitors and students who park in the front or do not arrive at a time that the back entrance is open.
End of 2nd Six Weeks: Today, October 27th, is the last day of the second six weeks grading period. Teachers may be finalizing grades (especially if a student has turned in make-up work). Report cards post Thursday, November 2nd in Skyward.

Seniors and Parents of Seniors
In case you missed the cap and gown meeting Thursday, and as a reminder to those that attended, Jostens will be set up in the cafeteria having a Senior Celebration Day on Thursday, November 9th, during all lunches.
They will be handing out any 2024 apparel items or souvenir items you order online when you order your cap and gown and announcements.
If you are ordering online, you will need to order by November 5th so that your early apparel items will be ready for pick up on the celebration day. If you are ordering with cash, check or money order, Jostens will be taking those orders on Senior Celebration Day and will bring extra items to hand out that day. You can also order your class ring if you have not done so already.
This is our time to shine. Please help us help you get ready for graduation by getting your order turned in now.
If you have any questions, please email Jostens at email@example.com or give them a call at 817-461-6837.

From Ms. Veselka:
Legacy AP/ADV Art students visited the Dallas World Aquarium on Friday. They took pictures and sketched the animals/people/reflections to use in their AP Portfolio.
From Ms. Kercher:
Yesterday after school, the Science NHS held a science tutoring session in the library.
We had 38 students attend. Our members tutored their peers in all levels of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Both the tutorees and tutorers (I don’t think those are real words…) said it was quite an enjoyable experience.
We hope to do it again soon!
