Calling ALL Bakers…we need Cookies/Treats for the Silver Springs Staff Cookie Exchange on Wednesday, December 18th
It’s time to spread some holiday CHEER to our deserving SS Staff…
The SS PTA Hospitality is hoping many of our generous and kindhearted families will bake/make or bring in cookies or treats for the SS Staff Cookie Exchange this Wednesday on December 18th. This is such a BIG anticipated event for the staff. They are so appreciative and thrilled when this day comes to get to bring home some baked goodies to their families. Please see the Sign-Up Genius link for more details.
It is a very hectic and busy time, but we continue this event because it is so appreciated! Thank you so much for giving your time during this holiday season!

To help us meet our goal and see Mrs. Booth in an ELF COSTUME:
- Download or update the BoxTops for Education app on a mobile device. (see the link below)
- Use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt within 14 days of purchase. The app will find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to your school’s earnings online! No clipping required!

Supporting the The 7 Habits at home!
7-Habits Take Home Activity for December
This month’s Habit: Habit 2 Begin With the End in Mind
Activity: Gantt Chart
Due Date: December 20th
Habit #2 Begin with the End in Mind- "I have a plan"
What this means: Have a mission, a clear sense of where you want to go. Think about the end first- how are you going to get there?
“I plan ahead and set goals.”
“I do things that have meaning and make a difference”
“I am important part of my classroom.”
“I look for ways to be a good citizen.”
How can I do this in my life?
1. Write down your goals. It is said that "A goal not written is only a wish.”
2. Lay out your clothes for tomorrow the night before.
3. Write down 3 goals you want to accomplish.
Great Books for Habit #2 - Begin With the End in Mind
- The BFG by Roald Dahl
- When I Grow Up by Sean Covey
- Click Clack Moo Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin
- Little Bunny on the Move by Peter McCarty
- The School Story by Andrew Clements
- Too Many Tamales by Gary Soto
- Plant a Kiss by Amy Krouse
