The Week Ahead at AES
A Message from the Principal
I hope everyone had a good week and is looking forward to the long weekend. We are approaching the end of the fall assessments and are beginning to identifying intervention for our students who need it. Teachers are sharing assessment results and are creating reading and math goals for students to work on in the coming weeks. Students are writing about their small moments and sharing them with classmates.
Fall conferences will begin in the coming weeks. In person and virtual appointments will be available. Please share your preference with your child's teacher. We have had a great time celebrating Hispanic Heritage month. Mrs. Sreniawski and Mrs. Tinta have done an amazing job planning events for our school community
We are a week away from the Dolphin Dash! The PTO thanks you for all the donations made so far. I hope that many of you will be able to join us for the race on Saturday, October 16 at 10:30am.
If you would like to volunteer at Ashburn Elementary, there will be a virtual orientation on Friday, October 15 at 8:00am. The link will be sent out closer to the date. The orientation will review procedures and expectations. We love our volunteers and look forward to all who are able to join us.
We are excited to have a fully staff school counselor department. We welcomed Mrs. Mishay Whitsitt to our faculty this week. Mrs. Whitsitt is at AES on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Have a wonderful weekend,
