Bright Lights of Spring
Those new flowers sure are brave!
Our Annual Short Week Before our Spring Break
You may already have this highlighted on your calendars, yet we have three and a half days of school next week, with Thursday as a half day. Thanks for your continued awareness of our school days. Your child's attendance and leaerning are # 1 for us. We wish you a safe and very happy Easter/Spring break. These crocuses are on the west side of our school.
Summer School Catalog is out!
The 2015 Summer School catalog is ready for your selection pleasure. The on-line registration period will be April 22nd at 5:00 to May 10th. As always, there will be a terrific choice of classes and the important skill builders as well. Hope you see the value in this program. Thanks!
Books are on the move, the before pictures.
With the help of our Reading Committee, we have centralized the books that our teachers use with our children to improve their reading skills via the Readers' Workshop and guided reading groups. The leveled readers using the Fountas and Pinnell system provides the children with books to read at their instructional and independent level. These are photos from our library.

Chapter books for older students
We're just beginning
Our staff works together to move the Book Room
The books and all of the titles with them arrived in their designated places as a rearrangement of the materials is coming to conclusion. Mary Shannon, our teachers, and our maintenance men have worked feaverishly to get the books in place. The volume of reading by the kids in our Readers' Workshop has really increased and as a result we have been building our collection of books. The genres include: Mysterys, Realistic Fiction, and Biographies.

Balance is a very important part of our daily lives. Mr. Heinze's first graders are shown demonstrating their experiments to learn more about how balance works. They were very proud of their accomplishments.
