MES is also proud to announce... at our quarterly Student Recognition Celebration, 74 students were recognized with PERFECT ATTENDANCE and 236 students were recognized for consistently displaying PAWS-OME LEARNING BEHAVIORS in the classroom during the past nine weeks!

Congrats to the winners below from our random drawing of recognized students! Prizes were made possible by our generous community sponsors linked at the bottom of this newsletter! We are so grateful for their support!

2019-2020 PBiS Goal

Did you know that as of February 4, 2020, 89% of our students have one or fewer behavior referrals? 414 out of out 464 students have received one or fewer behavior referrals for discipline thanks to our school-wide support and commitment to PBiS (Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports)! Our students are making great choices and learning quickly to avoid repeating bad ones!

Our overall goal is to have 85% or more of our kids receive one or fewer minor/major behavior referrals this school year. We are on track to meet that ambitious and worthwhile goal!

*Ring the bell

*Loud cheering and high fives

*Names read weekly over intercom

Keep up the great work, MES!

Who is Implementing PBiS?

Everyone… faculty and staff. We encourage everyone to recognize positive and appropriate behaviors. We encourage everyone to recognize the students in your classroom, hallways, restrooms, cafeteria, playground and during arrival/dismissal. This is your opportunity to catch students doing something right!
