All seventh-grade students received their course verification forms last Friday. This sheet has the courses that students have signed up for next year. These forms are to be returned by tomorrow, April 6. If we do not receive a form from a student, we will assume that the courses selected are accurate.

2016-17 Jr. High Schedule

The student school day will be changing for next year. Our school day will start at 7:20 and students will be dismissed at 2:15. The school day will be composed of 7 periods. Students will take a math, ELA, science and social studies course along with two electives. The other period will be lunch and E/I. All classes will be 60 minutes in length, with lunch and E/I each being a half an hour.

Another exciting change for next year is that we will be moving towards a middle school configuration, which will place students on teams. There will be three teams for each grade. These students will share the same teachers, which should help to make the transition from middle school to jr. high a bit easier. In addition, parent communication and scheduling conferences should be easier as all students' teachers will be working closely together each day. We are excited about these changes for next year for our students.

Chromebook Fees are Due

Mrs. Warren sent home chromebook fee reminders to families of grade 8 students with outstanding chromebook fees. The chromebook will be collected May 16 only if the fee is not paid.

Spring Athletic Fees

Just a reminder, that we are beyond the first contest in all our spring sports.

Therefore, by policy any athlete who quits now is required to pay the full fee.

Pass/Fail Forms

All pass/fail requests are due Friday, April 29. This is a form that allows students taking high school credit courses to get credit for the course but not have a grade on their transcript. The form has a deadline that has already passed, but we are giving students until the end of the month to get these forms returned. The form is available at this link: http://bit.ly/1SNnbby. Completed forms need to be returned to the main office.
