Text n Treat
Please talk up the candy war for text n treat during your morning meeting and highlight the fact that our proceeds from this event will go to Relay for Life!
Last year we had about 140,000 pieces donated for our event. We have also added 2 extra halls this year.
We want to get our kids and parents excited so we can raise as much money as possible for this awesome organization!

Georgia School Personnel Survey
The Georgia School Personnel Survey (GSPS) is modeled after the student survey and includes 31 questions. The GSPS is for all certified and classified staff members who work at least 50 percent of the day in the school. At least 75% of certified and classified staff members must participate in the survey to be eligible for the School Climate Star Rating. Most teachers should be able to participate in the GSPS using their classroom computer. The survey is also accessible using a tablet or smartphone. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The Georgia School Personnel Survey link is posted below.

Overbooked: A Sawnee Reading List
You can always count on Reese for a great recommendation! Cahill and Kayla both read and enjoyed Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton. In 1958 Elisa Perez left Cuba when Castro came to power and in 2017 her granddaughter Elisa Ferrera returned to scatter her grandmother's ashes. The book tells both of their stories through dual point of views and timelines.
Cahill's current kick for historical fiction has led her to The Women in the Castle by Jessica Shattuck. When Marianne's husband and his friends are killed trying to assassinate Hitler, it becomes her responsibility to protect the other widows and figure out how they can work together to survive.
