Food & Child Nutrition Services
2020-2021 School Year
Breaking News/Child Nutrition
We are excited to announce that on Monday, August 31st the USDA approved funding to feed ALL children, ages 1-18 again, with breakfast and lunch at no cost beginning September 8th through December 31, 2020.
For those children ages (1-18) attending online school or those not enrolled in the Jerome School District, a grab and go breakfast and lunch will be available curbside starting Monday September 14th from 9:30AM - 10:30AM at all 5 schools sites.
For those families that have not submitted a free/reduced meal application for the 20-21 school year, we encourage you to do so as it helps with federal funding and other grants for our school district.
Thank you for letting us feed your kids. Student participation keeps our programs operating.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the Jerome Food Service office at

ALL STUDENTS EAT BREAKFAST FOR FREE! 🥞🍇🥛
No matter what breakfast is served, it is always served with ice cold milk, whole grains and canned or fresh fruit that always meets the recommended SBP dietary guidelines.
WHAT'S FOR LUNCH?🍕🍌🌭🥒🍓🥪🍏🌮🥕🍔🍉
Federally subsidized food service must follow government-prescribed guidelines in the preparation of these meals. All meals meet at least 1/3 of the Recommended Daily Allowances (RDA's) for calories, protein, vitamins A & C, calcium and iron--for different age and grade groups. In addition, our meals have reduced sodium and cholesterol and increased dietary fiber. With meals that contain no more than 30% of the calories from fat, and no more than 10% of the calories coming from saturated fat, food is served that is not just "good for you", but food that kids like and will eat.
So, what will you see on the menu? Cheesy Meatloaf, Galaxy Pizzas, Mini Calzones, Cheese Quesadillas, Crispy Chicken Sandwhiches, Chicken nuggets, tacos, deli sandwiches, spaghetti, burritos, sloppy joes, or Cheeseburgers, in combination with salads, fresh fruits, fresh vegetables dessert, and a drink are just a sample of what is available to kids today. Food service even offers the most popular food with kids these days: Ham & Cheese and Pepperoni pizza pockets.
