The Spotlight Student for this month is Carson Ramsey. Ramsey is 4 years old and is in Mrs. Campbell’s preschool class. Ramsey’s favorite color is black. His favorite food is broccoli. Ramsey loves to play with his mom and dad, and has 1 brother and 2 sisters. Ramsey loves school and likes books about dinosaurs. His favorite animal is cows, plus he also like jokes and cartoons about Spider Man. We had a lot of fun learning about Carson Ramsey. If you see him in the hallway give him a high five!

The teacher spotlight for this issue is Mrs. Taylor. She has taught at 4 different schools since 2011. She is married with 3 kids and one on the way. She went to college at Buena Vista University. Her favorite foods are chocolate covered strawberries or anything with chocolate and peanut butter. She is 30 years young and loves the book “Oh The Places You’ll Go.” She has taught K-3rd,6th-8th and Special Education. Her full name is Rebeca Taylor. Her mom inspired her to teach. She teaches 1st grade because she loves helping kids learn to read and grow. She wanted to be a teacher when she grew up. She plans on teaching another year.

Update on Tobacco Hornworm
We have an update on the Tobacco Hornworm,We know you have been anxiously waiting for another report.Here is Wilson’s answers and opinions.Wilson doesn’t know if it is dead or alive.If it becomes a moth she will probably emerge in spring.Wilson is pretty sure it is cocooned underground.From what we know the Hornworm is still hibernating.

We had an interview with Loran Richardson about 4-5th grade volleyball.We asked Mrs.Richardson question's and this is what she said.
Q: When did you start coaching?
A: 2006 right out of college.
Q: When does volleyball start?
A: The first practice is February 4,2019.
Q: When are some of the games?
A: 10 games in March.
Q: What do you enjoy about coaching?
A: The relationship between players.
Q: When is the next volleyball camp?
A: There won’t be one till Summer.
Q: What are some of the towns we play?
A: Licking, Cabool, Ava, and more.
Q: Did you play volleyball in school?
A: Yes, in highschool and collage.
Q: What inspired you to coach volleyball?
A: To teach girls not to give up.
