Hello Ridgegate Elementary Family!
I would like to thank you for an amazing 2014-2015 year! I will be returning as your Digital Learning Specialist for the 2015-2016 school year. I am here to help you integrate technology seamlessly into your curriculum and assist you in building a strong foundation for our future leaders. I have included ways I could help you integrate digital resources into your classroom, helpful Atomic Learning videos that may address some of your technology needs, a few WEB 2.0 tools approved for student use at Ridgegate Elementary, and additional FBISD digital resources. Digital Resources on Your Campus
Teachers can use the document cameras to model labs and lessons, record instruction, take images, or have the students lead a demonstration to their peers.
Distance Learning is a wonderful way for students to collaborate with other students beyond the walls of their classroom. It is also a unique way for students to take virtual field trips to enrich their learning. How can you help improve your campus technology indicators?
- Log into V-Brick daily for the morning announcements.
- Check out Atomic Learning Videos (weekly).
- Make sure that students are using learning.com each week.
- Log into PCG daily or at least weekly to access the curriculum.
- Schedule videoconferences for your students.
- Make sure that you have taken all of your Technology PD courses.

Atomic Learning is the Key!
Atomic Learning is an online technology resource that is provided to you by FBISD. Atomic Learning has over 60,000 self-paced videos to help you integrate technology into your curriculum. Videos are broken down into small, manageable pieces for your needs so you won't have to watch a full length video. This resource is available to FBISD teachers, students, and parents 24hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to online tutorials, such as Office 2010, Adobe, Windows 7, and iPads, there are over 300 student project plans that include video tutorials and downloadable resources.
