New Feature: Check your video and peripheral device quality before joining a Google Meet call
Google is making it possible to quickly preview how you’ll appear to others before entering a Google Meet video call. You can use this new functionality to confirm that peripheral devices are properly configured and corrected and to check that your network connectivity is good.
When a problem is detected, you’ll see a warning and tips for troubleshooting common issues, like granting your browser permission to use the microphone or camera.
On the screen before joining a meeting, click the "Check your audio and video" button.
This will open the “green room,” where you can preview your audio and video. Visit the Help Center to learn more about troubleshooting performance in Google Meet.

These short (under 5 minutes) direct from Google videos get right to the heart of it as you dive into Google Classroom.
Let’s get Geeky with Chat!
Scenario: A colleague chats you up in Google Chat and you quickly realize it should be an email or you just can’t get to it right now. You think to yourself, “oh, I will remember to come back to this thread!” - yeah, right!
Solution: Use the “Forward to inbox” function within Google Chat.
How to: In your conversation > hover over the text > click “Forward to inbox” > it gets sent to your inbox and provides a simple reminder and click back to the conversation.
Tip of the Day
Get in the habit of EDITING THE SUBJECT line when replying to an email thread where you're including new information. Click the tiny triangle next to who you're replying to and "edit subject."
