AV District Honors 2021 Employees of the Year

At last month’s AVUHSD Board of Trustees’ Meeting, the Board recognized the 2021 Employee and Teacher of the Year. Helen Gonzalez was honored as the Classified Employee of the Year for her tireless work throughout the pandemic in the Business department. Leo Moreno was recognized as the Teacher of the Year for his dedication to serving students at all levels of our organization by providing engaging classroom lessons and countless opportunities outside of the classroom for students interested in the technology industry. Congratulations to Ms. Helen Gonzalez and Mr. Leo Moreno!

Tutoring

First semester will be over before you know it! Be sure to utilize free individualized tutoring so that you can end the semester well! You can access this service when you login to PowerSchool and click the ‘Resources’ tab and select “The Princeton Review Homework Help”. Hundreds of our students have raised their grades in Math and English and many other classes!


Lancaster, Quartz Hill and Eastside High Schools Win City of Lancaster Vax Challenge

Administrators from Lancaster, Quartz Hill and Eastside High Schools were honored by Mayor R. Rex Parris this week as the winners of the City of Lancaster’s Vax Challenge. Eastside High School received the $3,000 award, Quartz Hill received $5,000 and Lancaster $7,000!

Veteran’s Day

There will be no school on Thursday, November 11th in honor of Veteran’s Day.


Friday, November 12th is also a non-student day.
