PCMS WEEKLY UPDATE
February 26, 2021
Good Afternoon PCMS Families,
Thank you to everyone who attended our 2nd virtual Parent/Teacher Conferences this past Wednesday. Hopefully, you found this time valuable in learning more about your child's school progress. With 15 minute appointments, we know there were limited slots available. If you were unable to schedule one of these allotted slots, please email your child's teacher to schedule an alternate time.
Finally, the big news is that Monday, we're ALL back as we return to full in-person learning! We visited this week with all of our students about what will look the same and what will look different with everyone here at the same time. We're definitely excited to see them all back together … it's been a LONNNNG time! We are thankful to take another step toward getting back to some normal ;)
Have a great weekend, enjoy the warmer weather, and GO PIRATES!!
LOOK WHAT HAPPENED AT PCMS!
Return to Full In-Person & Class Schedules
As we mentioned last week, with all in-person learners returning to school full-time next week, we had to make slight adjustments and changes to some (but not all) student schedules. We believe that all who have been affected by these changes have been notified via email. If you and your student have not received an email from us regarding a change, their schedule will remain the same.
Reminder: There will be no A/B Alternating Schedule moving forward beginning Mon, Mar 1. All PCMS students will attend each day. (Virtual learners will remain remote.)
Message to 6th & 7th Grade Parents
This week your student received instructions on completing their course requests for the 2021-22 academic school year. This year, students are to complete their course requests via a google form. Students will need to use their school email account to complete the form. We want all students to complete this short form with their parents/guardians to make sure you all approve of their selections.
All PCMS students will have Math, English, Social Studies, Science, FLEX, and one semester of PE. So… they are only choosing their remaining elective courses. All Course Request Forms will be due by next Fri, Feb 26. We must get this information promptly, as we use the data to help build the master schedule, determine the number of course sections, etc.
Thank you for your help in making this new process a success!

(There is a $40 Registration Fee.)
~ Training begins Mon, Mar 8. Click here for details regarding training and here for the sign-up form.
Academic Lab
Just a reminder that we encourage students to take advantage of our Academic Labs after school. The Academic Lab program aims to provide students with another opportunity to continually improve on what they are learning. If your child struggled on a test, project, or needs some additional help, then they should be encouraged to attend Academic Lab and get that help. Sessions are held in the library on Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays from 2:55-4pm.
Please send a water bottle with your child each day!
We continue to stress the importance of sending your child to school with a water bottle every day. Our drinking fountains continue to be turned off until further notice. Students need to bring a water bottle from home that they can fill (or refill) using one of our four water filling stations. We appreciate your understanding and help with this, so we can keep our students healthy and hydrated!
