PTA Updates

* Thank you to everyone who attended the Holiday Shop, Pancake Breakfast and/ or Craft Fair! We hope you had a great time and we look forward to holding more fun events for your students!

* Amazon Staff Wish lists:
Several of our staff members have created Amazon wish lists full of fun things they would love for themselves or their classroom. Please consider taking a look at the various wish lists and supporting our staff and students if you are able.

See list of staff members wish lists here: https://www.canva.com/design/DAEx49Q36fE/olrNBxzYP5s1DQZDo1GstA/view?utm_content=DAEx49Q36fE&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=sharebutton

* Shop with SCRIP
Every time you purchase a gift card this holiday season you have an easy chance to give back to Wolf's Crossing! By ordering your gift cards on shopwithSCRIP.com the PTA automatically receives a percentage of every gift card purchase. It's that easy and it works when purchasing gift cards from hundreds of stores!

Visit ShopwithSCRIP.com and Join a Program using enrollment code: 45LAFA9137LL3
See full list of stores here (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AF-dWMzDQDizKn_zVtXWZwH_NGkeLgaG/view?usp=sharing). . . . We'll bet that most of the stores you shop at are on there so pick up a gift card for yourself to spend or for holiday gift giving!
Several stores give over 10% back to the PTA- Gap, Bath & Body Works, Fannie May and more!
Or how 'bout Starbucks?? Purchase or re-load your Starbucks gift card through SCRIP and we get 4.5% back automatically
You know you will be buying stuff on Amazon this holiday season- why not buy a gift card so we receive a percentage of every gift card you order and you can give the gift card away or spend it like cash.

Cold Weather is inevitably heading our way! A few reminders...

PLEASE ASK YOUR CHILD TO CHECK THE LOST AND FOUND OUTSIDE OF THE GYM/ART ROOM/MUSIC ROOM FOR HOODIES, HATS, GLOVES, ETC.....ALL UNCLAIMED ITEMS WILL BE DONATED DURING WINTER BREAK.

As we approach December, I have a cold weather reminder: Please send your child to school with hats, gloves, and even snow pants and boots once it gets snowy....we all know that can happen at a moment's notice in the Chicago area! We will get outside for recess/mask break as long as the "feels like" temperature (factoring air temperature and wind chill) is 10 degrees or above. Also, please practice with little ones to make sure they can put on their snow pants and boots independently.

Dear Families,

We signed our school up for the Chicago Wolves Hockey team Read to Succeed program. I have introduced this voluntary reading incentive program to all classes during their scheduled LRC time.

If they choose to participate they can fill out the 10 books they have read on the paper reading log or they can use this Google Form. We are asking the students to read and record ANY 10 books of their choosing. These can be books from home, school, and in class stories. They can read as a family or on their own. As long as they are reading they are following the directions!

Each student will need to fill in the google chart or paper chart and upon completion they need to turn in their log to the LRC or turn in the Google Form in their Google classroom.

Upon completion of their goal, I will then give them the form for a free Chicago Wolves hockey ticket! The calendar of available hockey games to attend starts in October and ends in April.

Happy Reading!
