Partnership
We recognize that in today's world we all wear several hats and our time is limited and precious. That being said, we want you to know our door is always open. We welcome and encourage visiting your child's classroom, volunteering for events on campus and supporting our related arts and fundraisers. We also want you to feel free to come in and ask your questions and voice your concerns. This allows us all to grow in our partnership. If not for you, we would not be able to provide the high quality education we all value.
Thank you from MSA Faculty and Staff for all that you do as a family to help support what we do in the classroom. Remember to join the Admin Council on February 8th at 5 PM to discuss all things Montessori!

Heart for Helping
Our school has always enjoyed a good relationship with AIM. We appreciate what AIM does to help those in need and AIM appreciates the support our school has shown to them over the years. Let's continue to support AIM's effort to help others!
To participate in this effort, we are asking you to send $1 (or more) to school with your child. Money for AIM will be collected in the classrooms during February.
The month of February is all about love! Let's spread the love in our community and help AIM continue to help others!

These ladies have dedicated hours of their time, brainstormed several ideas and put in great effort and energy to pull this year's event off. Our most important fudnraiser is a year long undertaking. Please support these ladies efforts, along with our Financial Assistance Program, by buying a ticket, donating an item to the auction and attending the event. This year's event will be on Saturday, March 10th at the T. Ed Garrison Event Barn. There will be a live band, "Slip Shot" plus loads of fun. Each ticket gives you a chance to win $10,000!! Come by the office and purchase your ticket or donate an item.
Also, a big thank you to Jennifer Meeks for her dedication in finding donation items for our event. She has secured some great items that you will not want to miss!

Nurse's Notes
MSA students are prohibited from attending classes while ill. If your child is absent, please notify the school office. MSA is proactive in monitoring all illnesses and makes every to prevent illnesses from spreading. When you have verification that your child has a communicable disease, please notify the office immediately. It is preferable to bring your child in late or keep him/her out for another day in order to completely recuperate rather than risk exposing the student body to a potentially communicable illness. All
students must be fever-, vomiting-, and diarrhea-free for 24 hours (without the aid of medications) before returning to school. Absences; excused or unexcused are recorded for all students. For any student experiencing a fever greater than 100.5, vomiting, having diarrhea or simply feeling too poorly to focus or concentrate on class work, the parent will be called and the student will be dismissed early.
If your child has missed school due to an illness, he/she may not participate in any other school-related activity on that day or evening.

Montessori Moments
Child: "I wasn't expecting to see that."
Mom: "What's that?"
Child: "That lady was waiting for the bus last night and she is still waiting for the bus this morning."
Mom: "Honey, that lady is homeless and she is using that bus stop as shelter from the cold."
Child: "We need to talk to Mrs. Knisley about her. Mrs. Knisley helps people that need homes and other items. And if she can't do it, I bet she knows someone who can."
Thank you Mrs. Knisley for your continued support of our community service program!
If you have a Montessori Moment at home, please share it with us!
