We are starting to utilize more Google Apps and want to share those tidbits. With that being said, after January, the goal is to start to incorporate conference calls and/or Google Hangouts for some of our monthly meetings! We will keep you updated!
Keeping Balance in Your Life
Stress and imbalance are an everyday part of our lives! Especially with the holidays right around the corner- we can definitely be "stressed out!" So, important to remember- stress is universal and that stress levels vary from person to person!
There are 3 main categories that create stress- Work, Home, In our Head.
Ways to eliminate or lessen stress include-
1. Setting Limits
2. Establishing Priorities (Identify & Protect)
3. Give Yourself a break between work and home or work and work
4. Learn and use relaxation strategies
New Directions provided a seminar on keeping balance in your life and I provided the handouts at the meeting. I would highly suggest that you take the Stress Exhaustion Symptoms Checklist on Page 4. It is important to know and understand the signals that your body provides regarding stress overload. You do not need to be perfect 24/7 or even at all. Pages 6-7 provide over 50 ways to reduce stress! I challenge each of you to try to start doing atleast 1 of these suggestions!!!
