Ensuring our students are #FutureReady is a partnership with families, communities, & schools
I'm sharing two photos from events this week in our our schools as a celebration and examples of our commitment to engage you.
The first is first is from Wednesday's "Future Ready Solutions" where Kuna High parents and their juniors and seniors learned about how to prepare for the future: life after graduation.
The second is from one of two: "Get Ready! for Kindergarten" workshops this week where school-to-be parents of Kuna School District parents learned how as their child's first teachers they can do fun and engaging activities to prepare for the future success.
One of the pillars in our district's proposed strategic plan is continuing to grow our strong partnerships to support our desire to empower families to support students so they are ready every step of their K-12 education and beyond.
Essential to each of these high-quality events were partnerships with community groups, higher education, our military branches, our state agencies, businesses (and, a shout out to our local Artic Circle for feeding the parents of our preschoolers!) and more.
These activities are just one way we strive to engage our parents as partners. A week ago, we welcomed our elementary and middle parents to check in with teachers and next week, the doors are open for the parents of our high school students. Our schools are forming their parent advisory councils and many have met already.
We're grateful during this tumultuous time for your engagement and our strong partnerships to ensure our students are #futureready

6-12 Parents: Deadline for device deposit extended to Oct. 31
Parent of secondary students we've extended the window to sign up for the device deposit program.
To help offset the cost of device repairs or replacement for devices we provide students to use every day at school at a home, we offer a device deposit program.
For a one-time $25 deposit, this will cover the cost of one device repair and a discounted rate of $75 replacement for a lost or stolen Chromebook. If additional repairs are needed, a deductible would be charged.
To benefit from this program you have till Oct. 31 to enroll. Please log into your parent account in Tyler SIS and complete the required eform which is highlighted in yellow. You will be asked to choose from one of the following options:
Accept deposit and pay online or drop off payment to the school
Waive the device deposit because you qualify for free or reduced lunch
Decline deposit
