FAMILY HUNTING HERITAGE NEWS
Porter County Chapter - IWLA
The Investment!
PCC Family Hunting Heritage program is off to a great start! 3 families worked hard all day to get their certifications in Hunter safety/edu and took the first step on their new journey as deer hunters. Thank you to the National Endowment grant, our host IWLA Michigan City and the LaPorte DNR instructors!!! “We felt successful and passed our tests with flying colors!” said Hansen.
Thanks to the IWLA Michigan City Chapter
Our chapter brothrers at Michigan City Chapter were kind enough to share their clubhouse with PCC to hold it's DNR Hunter Ed program on 8/31. And Sarge Hankins worked right along with the rest of them as the Shooting Sports Chairman of Michigan City Chapter. Annette Hansen and Sarge were asked to take the training to become instructors themselves. They would give the DNR Hunter Education classes annually for future PCC Family Hunting Heritage participants.
