CGELC Newsletter
June & July 2017
Dear Parents & Guardians
We're already halfway through this year, and can't believe that winter is already upon us! So a brief reminder to make sure children are dressed nice and warmly as they arrive and depart the centre, and also for when we're able to spend some time outdoors in order to lower the risk of any one falling ill due to the cooler temperatures!
We've had a busy few months filled with learning, fun and friends.
Enjoy having a read about some exciting changes and updates and some reminders of all the interesting things we've been getting up to.
~CGELC Team.
Social Media Update
We've been working on making our Social Media pages more informative and interactive to keep families and friends up to date with everything we're enjoying and learning about at school.
We'd like to once again remind all parents to like our Facebook page if you haven't done so yet to receive regular updates and reminders. https://www.facebook.com/castlegroveelc/
Due to some suggestions we're also making some exciting updates to the way we share information about our daily routines and syllabus with parents. We realise that during the rush of drop off and pick up parents are not always able to find time to peruse our daybook and see what we have been learning about at school so ... As of June 2017 we will be posting the 'Daybook' to our Facebook page. Our daily daybook will still be displayed on the digital screen onsite, and each week we'll be posting an album summarizing our week at school!
This new format could cause 'Privacy concerns' for some, and so in the next week we will asking parents to sign consent forms regarding pictures of their children being shared online.
Should you have any queries or concerns feel free to discuss this, either in writing or in person, with any of our educators.
TODDLER RULES OF PROPERTY (POEM)
If it's in my hand, It's MINE.
If I can take it from you, It's MINE.
If I had it a little while ago, It's MINE.
If it looks just like mine, It's MINE.
If I saw it first, It's MINE
If I am doing or building something and you put it down it automatically becomes mine.
If it's mine, It must never appear to be yours in any way.
If it's broken , It's YOURS.
If it's broken, WHERE'S MINE?
