Grade Level Socials!
From Our Current Family Newsletter
Summit Families,
It is time to start planning for grade-level socials! These are events for current students in their respective grade levels. Each social will include snacks, inflatables, activities, and games. Each grade level social will be held on a different day and will only be available for students in their grade. Each social is FREE! Students will be given two coupons for free snacks with the option to purchase additional snacks.
The 6th and 7th-grade socials will be held immediately after school and will end at 4:15, the 8th-grade social will be held during school hours on the last day of school.
Parents of 6th and 7th graders wishing to attend will need to complete the sign-up form below. Since the 8th-grade social is during the school day, they will not need to complete a form.
6th and 7th-grade students whose parents complete the sign-up form will be held during their last-period classes until the building has cleared and buses have run. They will then be dismissed to the gym for the fun!
Important Note: There will NOT be any extra transportation provided after the 6th & 7th grade socials. All participating students must have a ride at 4:15. Also, all participating students must have their ID badge or a temporary sticker badge to attend.

We decided to move our last RISE assembly to April 18th as a fun way to kick off our testing season. Pictured here is our testing schedule, we will discuss all the details in upcoming team meetings.

2024-2025 Summit Master Schedule Feedback Survey
Teachers,
As we begin to plan our master schedule for next year, it is important that we get feedback from the teaching staff. The purpose of this survey is to allow us to see who might want to change grade levels or even subject areas. It is important to us that we have a good picture of everyone's interest and expertise when making master scheduling decisions.
Student Identity Google Form
Earlier this week we held private conversations with almost every teacher to discuss our new practices when students asked to be referred by a different name or pronouns. We had a few folks out and we will come talk to the handful of teachers that we weren't able to talk to about this sensitive topic. A couple of weeks ago Dr. Grunewald sent out information about how we will navigate these conversations. Below you will find more information about this.
Below is a link that will be used to notify counselors should you have a student in your classes who has officially requested that you (the teacher) call them by a different identity. I will keep this at the bottom of our staff newsletter.
For now - if you have a student in your classes who has already made this request for this year - please go ahead and complete the form for them so the counselors can make sure we have made official notification with these families. Remember the following:
- Once a student has made this request of you the teacher - all you need to do is fill out the sheet and let the counselors handle this situation. You would continue to utilize the name in Infinite Campus until told that it is okay to make a switch.
If you have any questions please reach out to an admin or counselor.
