Henry Moseley, known as Harry, was a English Physicist. Born on November 23, 1887 in Weymouth, United Kingdom. He attended the University of Oxford and the University of Manchester. Moseley studied under and was influenced by Ernest Rutherford. Henry Moseley used an electron gun, which was then just invented, to fire a stream of electrons at different elements. He then figured out that elements gave off X-rays. Moseley developed the X-ray spectra to study atomic structure. Each element put out a different frequency and the frequency was related to the elements location on the Periodic Table.
